                                                                  More about the baby b's:

I have enjoyed babies and preschool children since the birth of my first nephew (I was nine years old).   As a member of a church attending family, we searched to find activities for the younger members of our family to use when they were required to be in a quiet environment.  Four nephews, three nieces, two daughters, and decades of teaching cradle roll Bible classes and preschool classes have given me some insight into the quiet activities enjoyed by different ages of children.  My niece, who has three children under the age of 5, suggested that it would be great to have just one collection that could be used by all of her children.

Drawing on my background, I gathered together 50+ quiet activities in a cloth, book-like format for children age 18months up to 5 years.   The hands-on activity collection has pockets that hold surprises, lift flaps to reveal what was hidden and opportunities to discover shapes, colors, numbers, and alphabet letters. The activity collections also have buttons, ties, and a zipper to help your child develop these skills.  Some activities will inspire your child’s creative imagination and some activities will provide your child a way to practice learned skills.

My grandmother and mother both enjoyed many different kinds of hand crafts.  From their gifts for others, I learned to edge finish 45- inch size, cotton flannel blankets with hand crocheted stitches.

With my own children, I made peek-a-boo bibs. Every baby enjoys a quick game of peek-a-boo and this can be played when putting on or taking off the bib.  I know my special baby      enjoys wearing her peek-a-boo bib!

I crochet  baby booties to give as gifts.  From experience, I know the problem of keeping booties on the wiggling, kicking feet of babies.  These booties have two adjustment places that make it easy for the booties to stay on so the caregiver does not have to keep looking for a missing bootie.
